Meet Nic and Anitra W.
Hello!
Thank you for reading our letter! Choosing an adoption plan for your child shows how courageous and loving you are. We are so grateful for your selfless decision to give life and love to this precious little one!
We have both had a calling to adopt long before we were married; it was one of the many things that attracted us to each other. We are blessed that our son Jonas and daughter Rosalie both came to us through adoption and are thankful for the love and joy they bring to our family. After our first adoption, we had a daughter Avelynn. She adores her big brother and little sister. All three of our kiddos are so excited to have a little brother or sister to love on. As a family, we often dream about the child God has planned for us and all the amazing times we will have together. We are eager to provide a nurturing, fun, and stable home and ready to welcome this child into our lives with open arms. Your child will always know they are loved by you.
Nic and Anitra grew up in the same small town outside of Dayton, Ohio. They both come from loving, supportive families and each have two siblings. Nic’s sisters have a total of ten children, and if you add in Jonas, Ava, and Rosie there are thirteen fun loving kids to play with at every get together and holiday event! Anitra is the oldest sibling in her family and even though both of her siblings live out of state; they are close to the kids. Her sister recently got married and is eager to start a family!
Nic teaches 6th grade math and science at an elementary school. He is very playful and truly a child at heart. He is funny, caring and enjoys learning new things. Nic loves being a daddy, acting silly and making Jonas, Ava, and Rosie laugh, building things, fishing, playing softball, and having backyard bonfires with friends. Anitra is a designer for a construction company and gets to plan and manage home builds, additions, and renovation projects. She is joyful, patient, creative and takes pleasure in the little things in life. Anitra loves cuddling her kiddos and spending time with them; she also enjoys practicing yoga, doing projects around the house, and going on hikes and little adventures.
Jonas is 6 and has a smile that will light up a room. He has the sweetest most caring personality, enjoys helping daddy around the yard, going fishing and playing with his sissies. He is in kindergarten and loves learning new things. Ava is 5 and has quite a sense of humor. She loves playing with her baby dolls, painting, helping mommy make cookies, and dancing with Jonas her “Bubbo”. Rosie is 1 and the perfect mix of her bubbo and sis, she is so loving and happy but at the same time ornery! We enjoy taking care of our doggie Rigley, cats Lucy and Lily, and dozen chickens! We are all looking forward to bringing another child into our home. We love spending family time together and enjoy going to parks, the zoo, the aquarium, the children’s museum, and on vacations. Our family is filled with fun and laughter.

We’ve been married since July 2012.
We work as an educator and a designer.
Our hobbies include hiking and exploring outdoors, gardening and cooking, reading, playing with our pets, and traveling.
We believe that children are one of God’s greatest blessings. It truly takes a village to raise a child and open adoption is a beautiful part of that support system. Our child will know their full story and we hope they have a strong relationship with their birth family.
