Meet Lindsey & Stephen D.

Dear Birthparents,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and consider us as your child’s adoptive parents. We are so grateful. Having a family together is something we’ve always wanted, but we knew from the beginning that we would have challenges and that adoption would be our best option. Having this opportunity to grow our family means everything to us.

Stephen grew up in Little Rock, AR, where he developed a love for the outdoors, spending weekends hiking, camping, and at the lake. He moved to Cincinnati, where his parents were living, when he was offered a job at the local VA Hospital. He has advanced in his career to a point where he is able to support a family, and in his free time he has continued to enjoy the outdoors and has begun learning to sail on the weekends.

Lindsey has lived in Cincinnati her whole life. When she was five, she was diagnosed with a cancer that was rare in children. She and her family were able to beat the cancer, and her countless days in the hospital developed in her a passion for nursing. She is now a Pediatric Nurse at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. During her childhood she also played various sports, and many of her summers were spent camping and traveling. She still has an excitement for exploring nature.

Traveling and exploring is our favorite shared hobby. We love taking road trips, cruises, and flying to all kinds of destinations. We are captivated by the beauty and uniqueness of the different national parks, and one of our dreams is to visit every one of them. We absolutely love to explore new places and try new things, but we are most excited about sharing these incredible adventures and experiences with our child.

We live in a beautiful, family-friendly neighborhood in Cincinnati filled with children of all ages, where you often see families out playing in their yards in the afternoons and evenings. Our home was built for raising children. It is a single-story ranch with four bedrooms and a finished basement. At home, we enjoy watching movies, playing board games, and grilling out in the backyard.

We live close to the heart of Cincinnati, with its zoo, aquarium, parks, playgrounds, walking trails, restaurants, and museums. Our wonderful and supportive families live close by, and we visit them regularly. We look forward to our child spending time with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Our Family At a Glance

We live in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ve been married since August 2022. We work as a Pediatric Nurse and a Clinical Program Analyst. Our hobbies include biking, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. We believe that open adoption means providing a home where a child is loved, supported, and will have a deeper understanding of who they are and where they came from.
