Meet Kevin and Kristen K.
We are committed to building a home where feelings can be expressed safely, mistakes are met with guidance, and love remains steady even on the hardest days.
Dear Birthparent,
Thank you for the opportunity to share who we are and the kind of parents we hope to become. Becoming parents has been one of our greatest hopes. We know you are making thoughtful, intentional decisions about your baby’s future, and we don’t take that lightly.
More than anything, we want you to know that if you choose us, we promise to create a home filled with unconditional love, patience and stability. We imagine bedtime stories, family dinners, kitchen dance parties, school projects at the table, and a home where your child feels safe to be exactly who they are. We will encourage curiosity, fun, and independence. Whatever they love, we will show up cheering, guiding, and supporting them.
About Us
Since we met in 2015, we’ve felt comfortable being ourselves with each other, laughing easily, communicating openly, and dreaming about the life and family we hope to build together. In 2018, we were married in a small ceremony surrounded by our immediate family. It was simple, meaningful, and full of joy, like our relationship. For the past several years, we have tried to grow our family without success and felt led to adoption.
Kevin has a generous heart, bold personality, and passion for life. He is outgoing, energetic, and brings people together. He is the favorite uncle to our nieces and nephews. On one family vacation, the kids spent so much time climbing on him, asking him to play, and pulling him in every direction that they started calling him “Playground.” The nickname lasted the entire trip. He makes funny faces, gets buried in the sand, joins cannonball contests, and shows up for soccer games and birthdays. As a dad, he will bring laughter, adventure, and steady encouragement.
Kristen has a way of making others feel safe and cared for with compassion and thoughtfulness. She writes meaningful notes in birthday cards and slips encouraging messages into lunches. When a friend is sick, we drop off soup and medicine without hesitation. As a mom, she will be patient, present, and intentional about creating space for connection where feelings are welcome and conversations matter.

A calm, joyful life
Our community in Westerville, Ohio, has an abundance of parks, schools, and activities for families. Our neighborhood is a quiet and friendly place where kids ride bikes and neighbors stop to talk. We appreciate simple joys like cooking breakfast while music plays and spending afternoons reading or running errands together. Evenings often end in the basement with a movie and our dogs curled up nearby. We look forward to the day when little footsteps run down the hallway and our home feels even fuller with love.
We are blessed with supportive parents, siblings, and close friends.Family gatherings are joyful, loud and include great food, traditions, crafts and games. On visits to Kristen’s parents’ cottage in the summer the patio fills with laughter as the kids spend their days swimming, paddle boarding, catching fireflies, and running from yard to yard with neighborhood friends. Watching our nieces and nephews experience that freedom and joy excites us to one day share it with our own child. Without a doubt our child will grow up surrounded by cousins, grandparents, and family friends who are deeply invested in their life.

Our Lives at a Glance
We live in the Columbus, Ohio area. We’ve been married since 2018. We work for a roofing company and the State of Ohio. Our hobbies include sports, reading, going to concerts, and spending time with family.
