Meet Kayla & Dereck K.

Dear Birth Parents,

We are Dereck and Kayla. Thank you for considering us as a potential family for your baby! We are excited to open our home and hearts to your child!

We are celebrating our 17th marriage anniversary in 2023. We have 4 kids: Rhagan (15), Rosin (12), Silo (10), and Karis (8). We love games, music, movies, art, nature, food, and family traditions. We are perfectly imperfect, and would love to include your child in our family journey!

Dereck comes from a large rural family, where he learned to hunt, fish and explore nature. He discovered a passion for music, and now he uses his musical love to lead worship in our local church. He works full time for Frito-Lay, and is home in time for dinner every weeknight and is off every weekend. Kayla comes from a suburban family where she developed a love for small town community. She loves making our house a home, homeschooling the kids, and celebrating in the excitement of the seasons. We are regularly involved in our church community/family. In our free time, we love to play with the kids, visit with family, or watch movies together on our Friday pizza night, or just hang together and goof off! We love to take vacations out of state when possible. Our favorite destinations include the Smoky Mountains, and Holden Beach South Carolina.

We admire your love and willingness to do what is best for your baby. We would like to offer your child the support they need to thrive in life. We are open to as much or little contact you would like to have. We are Christians, and believe God made you and your child with a purpose and plan. We would like to share the love and grace that God has shown us! We are here with open arms in your very important decision in choosing adoption.

Our Family At a Glance

We live in the Hocking Hills, Ohio area.
We’ve been married since 2006.
We work as a sales representative and a stay-at-home mom.
Our hobbies include reading, playing music, painting, playing games with family, and being in nature..
We believe everyone is created in love by God for a purpose and that open adoption is a beautiful way for His love to be experienced and shared by those involved, especially the child.
