Meet Kate & Jennifer Z.
Dear Birthparents,
First of all, thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We are honored.
We are Kate and Jennifer. We met while working at a summer camp in 2007 and haven’t stopped having fun and loving each other since! Our relationship is now 16 years strong, and we have firm roots in the Cincinnati area, having moved here in 2018. We adopted our son Elliot in 2019 and have a wonderful relationship with his birth mom, whom we talk to regularly.
We have a joyful home, perfect for raising a family.
Located in a quite suburb of Cincinnati, our house has room for our family to grow, with a huge backyard for playing and relaxing outside. We have a swing set, sandbox, garden bed, and plenty of grass for playing soccer or for stargazing at
night. Our neighbors are great and together we enjoy cookouts, play dates, and sidewalk chalk.
As a family, we love to visit parks, museums, and zoos, and we frequently head out for hikes. Spending time in nature is important to us, and we regularly get to spend time caring for animals at a community farm.

We love adventures!
We often visit awesome state and county parks, and go biking, hiking, and swimming. Our vacations are action-packed — we went hiking and kayaking in Norway, and we spend lots of time at the family cabin in Minnesota water skiing, fishing, and enjoying family dinners. We also like chilling at home as a family, having game nights with friends, or simply cozying up in blankets and reading stories.

Jennifer describes Kate: Kate is smart — really good at solving any problem — and always up for a challenge. She is playful and can get the whole family giggling. I appreciate the way she shares her excitement for nature and science with Elliot.
Kate describes Jennifer: Jennifer is optimistic, patient, and kind. She always roots for the underdog and puts her all into everything that she does. As a teacher, she has a clear passion for kids. I feel so lucky to have her as my teammate in life!
Elliot is a playful pre-schooler who loves animals, dinosaurs, helping, and going to parks. He is looking forward to having a younger brother or sister, and talks about all the fun they will have together.

Our Family at a Glance
We live in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area. We have been together since 2007 and married since 2014. Kate works as a doctor at a children’s hospital. Jennifer works as a 4th grade teacher. Our hobbies include hiking, reading, and exploring new places. We believe open adoption can create the best possible outcome for a child.
