Meet Jonathon & Ashley W.

Hello there!
Thank you for taking this time to learn a little about us. We are Jonathon and Ashley, and we have been together since 2015. One of the qualities that attracted us to one another is how each of us are both extremely family oriented. It will be a dream come true for both of us to become parents and meet the little one who is meant to be a part of our lives.
About Ashley
I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, the oldest of three. As kids, when we were not at sporting events, our time was spent with extended family, playing with kids in our neighborhood, taking family vacations, swimming, and movie nights. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in psychology. I currently work in the insurance industry and like to spend my free time with family/friends, traveling, attending sporting events, staying active, and reading.
About Jonathon
I also grew up in Cincinnati, the oldest of four. An active child, I spent every season involved in a sport, and also enjoyed time with family and friends, riding bikes, and fishing. Always serious about education, I have three degrees! I currently work as a nurse practitioner at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, on a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. My hobbies include traveling, attending concerts, and hiking. I still love time with family and friends.

Our Hopes & Dreams
We have worked hard to create a strong marriage and a solid foundation for being happy and present parents. We chose our home outside Cincinnati specifically for raising children. The neighborhood is made up of families, and there are parks and play spaces nearby.
Jonathon works full-time as a nurse, and Ashley works full-time from home as an insurance associate. Both of our employers offer generous parental leave — a great benefit as we transition into parenthood.
Ashley looks forward to the joy of having a child and can picture reading lots of books, snuggling on the couch, making messy crafts, and playing with our child and dog in the backyard. Jonathon can’t wait to be active outdoors with our child, coaching them in sports, and playing games with them. We both are looking forward to making memories and having new experiences as a family.
Our Favorite Things
Spending Time with Family + Friends. Going to movies, cookouts, hanging out by the pool, family trips, going to concerts, going to sporting events, babysitting our niece/nephews, family trips, holiday festivities.
Staying Active. Lots of walks with our dog, Otis, bike rides, hikes, swimming and pickleball.
Travel. Every summer we spend time at Ashley’s family lake house on Torch lake, many summers we do a beach trip with Jonathon’s side of the family, we have taken ski trips out west and when time allows like to plan a trips to explore new places the two of us.
Cooking. You will often find us cooking dinners in the kitchen, making one of our favorite recipes.

Our Family At a Glance
We live in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area.
We have been married since October 2019.
We work as a Nurse and as an Insurance Associate.
Our hobbies include walking our dog Otis, trying new restaurants/recipes, spending time with our family/friends, traveling, watching movies and staying active.
We believe that an open adoption will allow our child to grow up with the best understanding of their origin story and give them security and confidence in who they are. We also believe that with a positive mental attitude you can make it through any adversity you may face in life.
