Meet Jessica Z. and Francisco R.R.
From Our Hearts to Yours,
Our family is built on love, laughter, and second chances. Both of us know what it means to lose deeply and to rebuild with hope. We (Jessica and Francisco) are both widowed, and we understand that life can change in an instant. Through grief, we learned what truly matters: connection, compassion, and the courage to love again. When we met in 2022, it felt like life had gently handed us a new beginning, two people with open hearts, ready to create something beautiful together.
Together, we are raising two incredible kids, Jackson and Kennedy, who fill our home with energy, humor, and joy. Jackson, now in sixth grade, is our gentle giant: thoughtful, kind, and endlessly curious about history and science. He is thriving in Scouts and has a natural way of caring for others. Kennedy, our bright and creative spirit, is always dreaming up something new. She loves gymnastics, crafts, and making the people around her laugh. Kennedy is especially excited to be a big sister.
We are raising two incredible kids.
We live in South Lebanon, Ohio, a friendly small town that is surrounded by resources. It is the kind of place where kids play outside until the streetlights come on and neighbors stop to chat on evening walks and school bus stops. We spend our summers at the YMCA pool, visit local parks, and love being part of the Kings Local School District, known for its wonderful teachers and close community. Our days are full of little moments: shared meals, bedtime stories, and cherished traditions.
Family is everything to us. Jessica’s extended family is large, with more than ninety relatives who come together for holidays, birthdays, and football on Sundays. There is always warmth, food, and a feeling of belonging. Francisco’s family, though living in Spain, stays closely connected through daily calls, stories, and visits that fill our hearts. Both families have embraced our blended family with open arms, showing us again that love knows no borders.
Family is everything to us, and we are looking forward to growing our family through open adoption.
As we grow our family through adoption, we do so with deep gratitude and openness. We believe that every child deserves to know where they come from and to feel loved by all the people who helped shape their story. We are committed to an open adoption built on honesty, respect, and lasting connection.
Our dream is to raise children who are kind, curious, and confident in who they are. We love to travel, explore new cultures, and teaching Spanish to the kids. It is our way of showing our children the beauty of the world and the importance of being open minded. More than anything, we want our home to be a place where every child feels seen, valued, and supported as they grow into who they are meant to be.

Our Family At a Glance
We live in South Lebanon, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati).
We’ve been married since September 2024.
We work as a mental health therapist and a scientist.
Our hobbies include traveling, spending quality time with family, going to local attractions (zoo, Museum Center, Kings Island, etc.), and cheering on Cincinnati sports teams (sometimes painfully).
We believe open adoption is necessary to honor the connection between a child, their birth family, and the adoptive family.
