Meet David & Kimmy S.

Dear Birthparents,

We are in awe of your courage! It takes an immensely brave, compassionate, selfless person to make the decision that you are making. We have such deep gratitude for you and wish you the best of luck in your journey. We feel incredibly grateful that you are considering our family for your adoption plan, and we thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

It was tough when we found out early in our marriage that we were not able to conceive children biologically, even with fertility treatments. Since then, we have twice been blessed with adoption when we became parents to our sons Owen and Parker. We are ready to provide our unconditional love and support to a child by adopting one final time to complete our family. It is our hope and dream to expand our family, and our boys are incredibly excited to be big brothers!

We can promise you a beautiful, happy life for your child in a loving and supportive home full of fun, laughter, and joy. We hope to build a relationship with you, and strongly support your right to an open adoption. Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Our Home

We live about 15 minutes outside of Akron, Ohio in a quiet suburb. Our spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is located in a beautiful allotment filled with tree lined streets and lots of young families. We live in a wonderful, safe community with excellent schools.

David

David has his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Walsh University and his MBA from BGSU. He works as an accountant at a company located only three minutes from our home! He is the controller at his company and enjoys leading his colleagues and problem solving. David enjoys coaching his kids’ baseball and basketball teams, watching his favorite football team while eating his homemade chili on a Sunday afternoon, and building projects around the house. He also likes running, cooking, and movie nights at home. What Kimmy loves most about David is that he is a loving, patient, and loyal father and husband who pours everything into the success and happiness of his children.

Kimmy

Kimmy has her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from The University of Akron, as well as her K-12 Reading Endorsement. She is a second grade teacher in a neighboring school district and has been teaching for twelve years. She loves working with children, guiding them as they learn and grow. Kimmy enjoys baking cookies with her children, hiking on local nature trails, and early morning trips to the gym to run and lift. She also likes reading, gardening, and board game nights. What David loves most about Kimmy is that she is a kind, thoughtful, and caring person who is so incredibly patient and compassionate with her children and students.

Our Family At A Glance

We’ve been married since July 9, 2011.
We work as an accountant and a teacher.
Our hobbies include hiking, baking, gardening, exercising, and traveling.
