Meet Alex & Dalton B.
Hello!
We are Alex and Dalton.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about us. We have known our whole lives that we wanted to be parents. After marrying, we decided adoption would be the right path to parenthood for us. In our roles as a music teacher (Alex) and a pediatric nurse (Dalton), we have worked with children our entire lives. We know what children need and how to best support them as they grow.
In January 2025 we welcomed our first child into our family, a beautiful girl, Maizie-Jane. Now is the perfect time for us to welcome another little one into our loving home.
Our Story
We’ve known one another a long time — music brought us together in high school when we both participated in music competitions. We eventually married, in December 2021.
Some of the things we enjoy include working together on house projects, playing games, visiting family, taking walks, going out with friends, attending music concerts, exploring zoos, and going to holiday parties. Many of our friends have small children, so we often share fun times with them along with Maizie-Jane We have four pets — two dogs, Getty and Gunner, and two cats, Sonny and Midnight.
About Alex. I am a bubbly, worry-free, go-with-the-flow person. I studied Instrumental Music Education in college and have a Masters of Special Education. I am an elementary music teacher and absolutely love my job! I also coach high school wrestling and participate in a community band.
About Dalton. I am a lively, assertive, and charis-matic person. Having proudly earned a doctorate of nursing practice, I am able to provide the best care for my pediatric patients at Dayton Children’s. In my free time, I am an avid DIY crafter. Some of my favorite crafts are the ones I get to make with Maizie-Jane. An important part of my life is the volunteer work I do at my summer church camp, where I care for kids from 6 to 18.
Our Home
Our house is a sprawling ranch on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large backyard perfect for many fun outdoor activities for the kids. Nearby are several parks that offer a variety of activities, as well as zoos and aquariums. We live close to work and have all the amenities we could want. To top it all off, the state has awarded our school district five stars, the highest possible rating.

Our Family At a Glance
We live in Centerville, Ohio, south of Dayton. We’ve been married since December 2021. We work as a music educator and a Clinical Logistic Coordinator for a children’s hospital. Our hobbies include music, playing board games, traveling, and giving of our time for volunteer services. We believe open adoption is the best route for everyone involved in an adoption. The child is inevitably going to ask about their birth family and if we are open we can answer clearly and easily.
