Meet Brian & Karen E.
Dear Birth Parent,
We are so excited to start this journey with you! Thank you for considering our family for this important role in your child’s life. From puppy dog kisses and family hugs to sports and hobbies, we love big and play hard! And we could not be more proud that you would consider us. We think you are amazing. This cannot be an easy decision for you, but know that you are helping another family’s dreams come true. For that, we are so grateful.
Our Story We met as coworkers and became friends through recreational volleyball and Bible study. We remained friends after Brian left for graduate school and started dating two years later, both of us certain that it was God’s plan for our lives. After a difficult struggle with infertility, we were blessed with our daughter, Laurel, who is now five. We have two kid-loving German Shepherd/Husky dogs named Holly and Ivy. We have always dreamed of having two or three children, but after continued struggles with pregnancy, we are hoping that we can share our family’s love in adoption!

About Brian When I do something, I do it big! I powerlifted and played college football; I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering; and I love being a dad! I enjoy learning, discovering, and creating new things, and I delight in answering all those questions that kids ask. I am a researcher at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital working to improve outcomes in pediatric epilepsy. I enjoy studying and teaching the Bible, and I like spending time outside with our dogs, biking, and building.

About Karen I love my family, and I cannot wait to welcome a new little one into it! I grew up in a large happy family with one biological sibling and three adopted siblings. I love to laugh and often try to make my daughter grin even when she is pouting. I am the treasurer at a local school district. I value honesty and integrity, and I hope to raise my children to love and serve God. I love to travel, visit the theater, listen to and sing/play music, read books, and play volleyball.
About Laurel Laurel is our happy, sweet ray of sunshine. She loves art, singing, dancing, and playing dress-up. Laurel has a gentle and caring heart, and she enjoys playing with her neighborhood friends. Laurel has grown up in our church, and just about everyone greets her by name. She loves to perform, and she cannot wait to be big enough to sing with Mommy at church.

Our Lives We live in an amazing community between Dayton and Cincinnati. We love to go to parks, festivals, and museums, but some of our best days are when we stay at home, relaxing and playing together. We love to have picnics, watch movies, explore new things, and eat snacks!
We promise that your child will be one of our own. We will embrace who your child is and will encourage your child to love God, family, and others.

Our Family At a Glance
