Dear Birthparent,

Hello!

Thank you for taking time to get to know a little about us as you consider adoption for your child. For any chaildren we are blessed to parent, we will work hard to provide a loving home and beautiful childhood, equipping them with a sense of purpose and self-worth, and preparing them for a meaningful and fulfilling adulthood.

About Us We married in 2018 and are truly best friends. Our relationship is anchored in our love for the Lord, which provides the foundation for every aspect of our lives. We had our son, Joseph, in 2024 and find great joy in parenting. We love having adventures as a family, exploring parks, hiking, and traveling when we can. We also enjoy cozy evenings at home listening to audio books and doing puzzles or summer Saturdays working in the yard together and then watching the sunset from our kitchen stoop.

About Bernadette I am the second oldest of 12 children and love that we live near my parents and many of my siblings. I enjoy reading, gardening, singing, Pilates, and baking. I work part-time from home but am grateful to be able to put most of my time and energy into caring for my family.

About Harrison I have an older brother and younger sister and grew up on Long Island, New York. I enjoy smoking meat, working out, and hiking. I work as a senior network engineer at a renewable energy company, and also enjoy doing network design consulting work on the side.

Our Home We live in a small town and have a bright and cheerful home that we love to fill with friends, family, and laughter. Our spacious backyard has large trees and lots of room for our children to explore. We have an affectionate, energetic Golden Retriever who loves everyone, especially kids

Fun Facts:

  • Bernadette knows German and Chinese.
  • Harrison has been to 42 of the 50 US states.
  • Bernadette has sung with choirs in China, Germany, and the US.
  • Harrison is an avid baseball fan – go Mets!.

Favorite Activities:

  • Hiking, especially in the mountains.
  • Road trips to visit family, friends, and fun places.
  • Reading books and listening to audiobooks.
  • Cooking or baking together

Our Family At a Glance

We live in a small town in Eastern Ohio. We’ve been married since July 2018. We work as a network engineer and a research analyst. Our hobbies include reading, hiking, and cooking together. We believe open adoption is about bringing our families together in a long-term relationship for the good of the child.
