Meet Alicia & Joey D.

Dear Birthparent(s),

First, allow us to say thank you for your incredible bravery and selflessness. We believe the love and strength it takes to make this decision reflects the very heart of God.

We are Alicia and Joey. We met on Match.com, bonded over faith and laughter at the Cincinnati Art Museum. We quickly knew God had brought us together. Over the last 9 years, our family has grown through both birth and adoption, and our home is filled with love, learning, and belonging. We feel called to open our hearts again through adoption and deeply value the beauty of open adoption— building a lasting, loving connection with our child’s birth family.

Meet Alicia

I grew up in Cincinnati as the youngest of four. My faith guides how I see the world and connect with others. Traveling and living abroad sparked my love of adventure, cultures, and languages, which I now share with our children. I love cooking, homeschooling, hiking, and dancing together.

Meet Joey

I grew up in Cincinnati with one older brother and work in web development, enjoying problem-solving and creating tools to make life easier. I approach parenting with the same steady, thoughtful, and hands-on mindset, guided by faith, empathy, and humor. I love learning alongside our children, making everyday moments meaningful, and nurturing a home where each child feels seen, safe, and deeply loved.

Meet Our Children

Moriah is a bright and imaginative 7-year-old with big dreams of becoming an astronaut, drummer, scientist, soccer player, and artist. She feels deeply and is a loyal, caring friend, always looking out for her sisters and including them in her play. It has been a joy to watch her grow into a thoughtful, problem-solving young girl who approaches life with curiosity, creativity, and a kind heart.

Lina is our spunky and joyful 5-year-old middle daughter, who makes friends wherever she goes. Her energy and humor breaks down barriers and opens hearts. She has boundless curiosity and an engineer’s mind with a natural gift for problem-solving. Lina joined our family through foster care at just five days old, and we were blessed to adopt her at a year and a half. We are eternally grateful to God for bringing her into our lives.

Ciera is our spirited 3-year- old daughter, full of determination and natural leadership. God has blessed her with a powerful and expressive voice. She delights in organizing her collections, joining her sisters in play, and exploring her creativity through drawing and reading books. Ciera brings energy, curiosity, and joy to every moment, and we love watching her personality shine.

Final Thoughts

We have been praying for you and the baby for months. We believe God weaves families together in uniquely beautiful ways and we would be honored to be a part of your child’s story offering love, respect, and ongoing connection to you both.

We’ve been married since November 2016.
We work as a homeschool mom and a software engineer.
