Meet Merrianna & Nathan H.
Dear Birthparent,
Thank you for taking this time to learn a bit about us. We are Merrianna and Nathan Holdeman. We both have a strong faith in God, a passion for helping others (within our community as well as overseas), and a willingness to live adventurously. We have dreamed of growing our family through open adoption since we first met in 2018, and are now ready to welcome a child into our lives.
We have had many adventures in life so far, and look forward to having more with our child. We have an active and fulfilling home life as well, taking walks in our neighborhood, hiking, biking, cooking, playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies, and trying new foods. We love spending time with friends, and often host gatherings at our home, including game nights. We attend church regularly and co-lead a small group every other Sunday.

About Nathan I am mild-mannered, quiet, and low key, with a dry sense of humor. I work in the nutrition division of a global pharmaceutical company, overseeing a team of ten individuals focused on new product innovation and food safety. In my leisure time, I enjoy strength and cardiovascular training, relaxing walks, yard work, and barbecuing.
About Merrianna I am passionate about helping others and traveling, learning, and immersing myself in cultures different from my own. I have a private practice as a licensed mental health counselor. I enjoy my clients as well as the freedom to create my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility I’ll need as a mother. My hobbies include photography, cooking, trying new foods, walking, hiking, running, biking, and spending time with friends and family.
Our Home
We live in a quiet and friendly neighborhood in Columbus. There is a park nearby and numerous metro parks within driving distance, for playing and hiking. Groceries and other stores are within walking distance, making shopping and quick errands very convenient. We enjoy our spacious, fenced-in backyard, lined with trees. We’re excited to raise a child in such a welcoming, safe place.

Our Family At a Glance
We live in Columbus, Ohio. We’ve been married since 2020. Merrianna works as a trauma counselor/private practice owner and Nathan works as a director of innovation and food safety at a medical nutrition company. Our hobbies include leisurely walks in new neighborhoods (we really enjoy looking at old architecture and home designs), hiking in metro parks, biking through the city, barbecuing and playing card games, and dining out at new restaurants. We believe that open adoption acknowledges a child’s family heritage, helping to foster their identity as they grow and develop.
