Meet Chris L. & Lizzy G.

Dear Birthparents,

Early on in our relationship we decided that adoption is the right way for us to grow our family. We promise to care for and love our children forever, and believe that an open adoption is important to provide a truthful, well adjusted outcome for all involved. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.

We first became friends in 2011 while in college in Dayton. Although Chris taught in México for a year, he returned in 2012, and we started dating. When Lizzy finished grad school, we married in 2018. We continue to live in Dayton, close to friends and family.

We love to run, hike, travel, learn new things, talk, cook, and spend time with family together. We especially enjoy seeing our nephew and four nieces.

We always knew that we wanted to adopt our own kids, even twins if the opportunity arises. Our jobs offer us flexible time, and we can’t wait to bring a child into our family.

Lizzy: I am a loving, conscientious, and loyal person who loves to explore the world around me. My friends and family mean everything to me, and I cherish my time with them. I chose to become a physician assistant to help people live healthy lives.

My favorite activities are running, hiking, playing sports, reading, and family time. I can’t wait to share more experiences with my own family and my lifelong adventure partner, Chris.

Chris: I love to learn, make people laugh, and solve challenges. I was a camp counselor while becoming a Spanish teacher, and have worked with students of all ages.

I visit friends in México every summer, and we plan to raise our children to speak English and Spanish. I enjoy spending time with family, running, playing music, games and sports, reading and learning new things.

Thank you for considering our family. We promise to be loving parents, and raise our kids to value empathy, curiosity, resilience, and trust. We recognize the importance of open adoption and will work together with you to make sure that our child knows his or her roots.

Where We Live

We live in Dayton, near parks, museums, history, and people of all backgrounds. Chris teaches at a quality, diverse public school where we will enroll our children. Many friends and family members live nearby, so our kids will have many opportunities to play with cousins and friends. Our home is warm and welcoming, with a playset, tens of acres, and an affectionate, playful cat, Winky. We live next door to Lizzy’s parents and close to siblings.
