Meet Liz & Andrew W.

Adoptive family

Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you for being strong. For being courageous. For demonstrating an extra-ordinary capacity for love. Thank you for being … you. And thank you for reading this and considering opening your life and your heart to us.

We have been inseparable ever since we met. Two peas in a pod, we’ve built our relationship on a strong foundation of trust, open communication, loyalty, love … and A LOT of fun!

Parenthood has shifted our life’s axis and purpose, and we’re ready to open our hearts once again to complete our family.

About Liz. First and foremost, my family is my life — even before our son was born. My huge family uses any excuse to get together and make way too much food — even more often since Alex arrived. I’ve been in pharmacy for nearly 20 years and have a true passion for my work. In my free time, I love cheering on the UK Wildcats, Reds, and Bengals, spending time outdoors, and am hoping to get back into 5k races later this year!

About Andrew. I come from a small family from Buffalo, New York. I joined the Army out of high school and spent almost seven years deployed overseas. After that, I earned a master’s degree and currently work as a biologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I am also a commissioned officer in the United States Coast Guard. In my free time I enjoy running, working out, fishing, supporting my Buffalo sports teams, and spending time with Alex!

Loving beach life

About Alex. In 2021, we were blessed to welcome Alex into our lives. He is the happiest, sweetest, easiest-to-love little boy you’ll ever meet. He’s absolutely charming and very social. He loves his cousins, especially Anna, whom he dotes on. We’re so excited to watch him become a big brother.

Our Home. Our home is nestled in a quiet community about 20 minutes north of Cincinnati. With tree-lined lots and dozens of neighborhood playmates, our half-acre is a paradise for family. Our house has four bedrooms, a playroom on the first floor, and a finished basement. We  love having an open layout and large deck because it makes our house the perfect spot for family gatherings, indoor or out.

The hayride was Alex’s favorite part of the Fall on the Farm Festival

Family vacations. We usually take two or three big family vacations every year. We rent a beach-front house in Holden, NC, for a week with one side of our immediate family (8 adults, 4 kids), and then go to Hilton Head, SC, with the other side of our family (14 adults, 13 kids!), where we take over two houses for a week. We make sand castles, swim, fish, play card games, bike on the beach, and play putt-putt. No matter where we go, there’s a lot of fun and a lot of love.

Thank you again. You will forever have our respect, admiration, and gratitude.
