Meet Becky & Zach R.

Dear Birthparent,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking this time to learn a bit about us. We are Becky and Zach, high school sweethearts who first met when we were 14 years old. Today, we have been together 25 years and married for 15 of those!

Becky is a very loving, caring, and happy soul. Her friends know they can call her anytime and will always get a warm welcome and a caring heart to listen, along with a “Becky Hug,” which is pretty awesome. Becky has worked in accountancy for the same company since graduating college with a master’s degree in Accountancy. She loves hanging out with friends and family, sometimes babysitting, and often playing with nieces and nephews. An accomplished runner, Becky has completed four half marathons, one triathlon, many Turkey Trots, and numerous 5Ks and 10Ks with her running buddy. She attends church weekly, singing in the worship band and fulfilling the duties of Treasurer for our small hometown church.

Zach enjoys playing card games, going to concerts, running and working out, making cider, and exploring different states (he’d love to visit every state in the USA). He has a love of music, and these days plays guitar and sings in a band. Zach studied business in college. He always wanted to start his own business and in 2017 opened up a pizza store. He too loves to hang out with his niece and nephew, and is the “fun uncle,” the one who gets on the floor and plays games and also enjoys running around with the kids outside.

We loved visiting this waterfall in Hawaii. We can’t wait to travel with our little one.

We are crazy about traveling, and when we do travel, it is normally more of an adventure than a relaxing vacation. Our adventures include white water rafting, zip lining, hang gliding, and para sailing. We have been to places as diverse as Seattle and Hawaii. We look forward to having a little one with us to enjoy these beautiful landscapes and incredibly fun outdoor activities.

We live on two acres on a quiet street in a small southwestern Ohio town with our cat, Padme. We are blessed with wonderful neighbors. You often see kids riding their bikes, neighbors out taking a walk, and people arriving for piano lessons at our next-door neighbor’s. We like going for a run or walk in the area and also enjoy working out in our home.

Our entire extended family is thrilled about welcoming a baby into the fold. Both our moms, who live close by, are retired and will be caring for their grandchild when we return to work.

We have been praying for you and hope you are doing well. Although we will never understand how difficult this decision is for you, we want you to know that if you choose us as adoptive parents, we promise to love your child and provide everything they need to grow and thrive.

We live in Lebanon Ohio. We have been married since June 2007. Our work: Becky is an accountant and Zach owns his own pizza business. Our hobbies include running, going for walks, and playing music. We believe open adoption is good for all involved, especially for the child so that they know where they come from.
