Meet Adeline & Madeline R.
Dear Birth Family,
Thank you for giving us the time to introduce ourselves. We are hoping to get to know you too. Adoption has been engraved on Madeline’s heart since she was a child. Due to medical reasons, carrying our child isn’t an option for either of us. However, having our child come through adoption isn’t an “alternative to having our own child,” but rather the means that our child will come to us. We want our child to think, “I am worth so much love, I was given more than one or two parents to hold it all.”
Our greatest hope is for our child to grow strong in faith and to feel limitless because they are so wildly loved. We will travel and show our child a world of different people and cultures. We will go on the adventures that our child dreams up. We want them to have a childhood full of getting dirty in the woods, but also, of having a new fancy outfit they’ve picked to wear while we dine on a dinner train as it cruises through the Rocky Mountains. We want to model a love that raises the expectation of how their spouse should someday love and respect them.
We want you to live confidently knowing that you made the right decision, and that your child has the very best life possible. A life full of support, stability, options, security, community, faith, guidance, confidence, and unbreakable love. This means always providing you with an opening to your child’s life, so you never have to wonder how they are or who they’ve become.
We invite our child’s birth family into our lives. That might look different at different times and that’s okay. You don’t have to have all the answers right now. We have everything ready for this child and we are ready to parent. We want it more than anything and pray about it every day. We are ready to walk with you, reassure you, and support you beyond placement.
Adeline: Family means more than anything to me and I love our regular family dinners. Although I swam competitively most of my life, I have been biking for the last few years. I had a blast completing a 100-mile charity ride in 2020. I also enjoy rock climbing, watching football games with my family, and trying new things. I can’t wait to teach my child how to climb a wall or ride a bike. I look forward to reading to our child every night, like my dad did me. I work as a Doctor of Physical Therapy at our local hospital.
Madeline: I love to hike with our pup. Being in nature is my “happy place.” I can’t wait to jump in creeks or to make slides from mud with my child. I play guitar and so does my family! I also love to garden, read, and travel to new places. I love thinking about picking our blueberries with my child or summer nights chasing fireflies in our big backyard. I am a Registered Dietitian at WIC. I love what I do! The baby will come and play at work with me until they turn 1-year-old.
We have 2 god-babies we love to spend time with. Our home was recently built in a quiet cul-de-sac, walking distance from the elementary school. We love the diversity of our community. There are several community events and parks nearby.
With love and our deepest respect,
Adeline & Madeline
